It was not cold or particularly rainy (compared to four years ago), but turnout was dismal.
Less than 1/3 of the people showed up on the mall for the inauguration. No official numbers, but estimates are between 200,000 and 400,000 compared to 1,800,000 in 2009 and 1,000,000 in 2013.
70 congressmen did not attend.

First order: Defund ACA. The broad language gave federal agencies wide latitude to change, delay or waive provisions of the law that they deemed overly costly for insurers, drug makers, doctors, patients or states, suggesting that it could have wide-ranging impact, and essentially allowing the dismantling of the law to begin even before Congress moves to repeal it.
Second order: Remove the order that makes it easier for first time home buyers to afford an FHA loan by reducing mortgage insurance.
DOJ: Delay hearing about Texas voting law disenfranchising Hispanic and African-American voters.
DOJ: Delay hearing about Baltimore police reforms to curb excessive violence and discrimination
Added GOLD drapes to the oval office.
